THE MORGAN RACING TEAM:
Corey Morgan Driver
Mark Morgan Owner, Truck Driver, Mechanic
Beverly Morgan Owner, Record Keeper and Financial Manager
Rob Bealko Race Tech, Time Distance Research
TO OUR TEAM:
We want to thank our team for all their efforts this year in getting Morgan Racing on the move. Without the dedicated team work and help of these outstanding individuals and their professional expertise Morgan Racing would not have accomplished as much as we have in this time frame for getting our 16 year old driver this far this fast. They believe, as well as we do, that Corey has the capability to be a top professional drag racer or they would not be dedicating their time for us. We appreciate them and cannot express our gratitude enough to make up for all they do for us. They are awsome....
Our thanks to Rob Bealko and his Techs at MIND SCIENCE MOTORSPORTS for their technical support and assistance with our team. They are a valuable asset to our team and without him we would not be at the level we are today. His website has information available to help with your racing setup.
Drop into their website at www.mindsciencemotorsports.com for technical and setup information for your race car or give Rob a call with any technical issues you may have.
He can be reached at --------> 412-287-3723. or e-mail will be answered at GAMRRA@aol.com
We have been racing at Pittsburg Raceway Park, Shelor Motor Mile - Radford VA, Bristol TN, Columbus OH, and other tracks that sponsor these heads up classes. We have primarily been at Pittsburg Raceway Park due to the location of our crew.
2007 REVIEW:
We started out running on carburetors only, running speeds of 5.5 seconds in the 1/8th mile. After a few testing sessions and a couple of races we felt comfortable and put the motor on one stage of nitrous. With that tuneup we were running 4.89 to 4.95 et's. We have just added the second stage and have not made a full pass on both stages, but we are expecting times near the 4.50 range.
In some of the races this will be enough to qualify us and get us into the 8 car field. We continue to test and gain much needed seat time. We have quailified at the last two Door Jamz events @ P.R.P and are looking for more improvement.
WINTER PLANS:
Over the winter we will be upgrading the engine, and re-tooling the nitrous as well as rewiring the new car, adding a programmable digital ignition and a datalogger.
